Social Capital and Thalassemia

Increasing Social and Economic Burden among the families with Thalassemia affected Children leads to decrease in their well-being. Determining the social capital of families with Thalassemic children using Social Network Analysis and to establish the relationship between well-being and social capital on families with thalassemic children. By focusing the strong ties between the community people, health interventions and necessary information can be given, through which one can cover the most vulnerable population group to have their basic health needs and create awareness to them periodically about the health information updates and improve their well-being thereby.
