Sleep disorders manifest when normal sleep regulatory mechanisms are affected by certain factors primarily of psychological origin, or in other words, it can be said that sleep disorders root their causes on a psychiatric basis primarily. It is important to mention that a vicious cycle that encompasses sleep disorders and systemic health through oral habits such as sleep-disordered breathing and bruxism may be an oral manifestation of sleep disorders. This focuses on a new epoch in Dental Neurosciences in which the Dentists role become a pivot authority in the management of such disorders. Though this dissertation work effort is directed to have an insight into sleep neurobiology, its relation to oral habits and to moan on Dental surgeons role in the management of same.
