This study is intended as a guideline for interpreters from interpreting students to interpreter trainers. This work focuses on aspects of syntax and structure in simultaneous interpreting from English to Maltese, whilst noting similarities and differences between the two languages. The study also focuses on interpreting strategies, namely additions, omissions and substitutions used by Maltese interpreters when interpreting into Maltese. It also provides suggestions to the interpreter using Maltese as the target language.
