Short Term Outcome of Patients with Low Ejection Fraction in OPCABG

Ischemic heart disease is common cardiac disease in South East Asia specially in Bangladesh. More and more people are getting affected with this disease due to change in life style and dietary habit. For this number of patients with multivessel coronary artery block is increasing. And coronary artery bypass grafting olays important role to treat these patients. Coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with low ejection fraction (EF <35%) is very challenging although it is performing successfully in department of Cardiac Surgery of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh now a days. The purpose of this article was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of off pump coronary artery bypass grafting for EF ¿35% and EF <35% and also to compare between pre and postoperative echocardiographic findings in this two groups. As because beating heart surgery is gaining popularity in Bangladesh among surgeons even in patients.
