Sheet Metal Thickness Measuring Instrument in Labview Environment

In mechanical industries precision measurement is one of the very important aspects for incorporation of better quality control and elimination of rejection, measurement of thickness of sheet metal is one of such activity, and it becomes important because press working is replacing other mechanical operations in order to achieve faster production rate, lower operational costs, and consistency of the process performances. The existing literature is evident that measurement of the thickness of sheet metal is difficult after the fabrication because the precision measuring instruments can¿t reach to deeper intricate places in the job.Presented instrument is capable to overcome all problems with accurate and precise measurement followed by repeatability and reproducibility studies.
