Shaping abilities of One Shape and ProTaper rotary systems

Shaping and cleaning is the crucial step for the success of any endodontic treatment and requires use of endodontic file. Various advancements have been made to improve the properties of these files and reduce procedural errors. One Shape and ProTaper next files were introduced as a part of these modification. ProTaper next file demonstrated a significantly more change in angle of curvature in resin block as compared to One Shape file. The amount of material removed from the canal space was significantly high with the One Shape file compared to ProTaper Next at the apical, middle and coronal part. There was no difference in centering ability of two files in the coronal and middle part of the canal. However, at the apical part One Shape file demonstrated significantly more centering ability.
