This book originated from my doctoral thesis, which reflected my personal concern when inserted in the context of preventive education for sexuality. IST (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and AIDS, I came across a specific community within our society: the deaf. If approaching the themes described with a listener population that has access to innumerable information simply by listening is already extremely challenging, as I could perceive in my Master's work, one can imagine what it would be like with a population with its own characteristics and different needs regarding communication, this in itself made the work intensely instigating.
