Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy With MBD only, in Ca Breast: Central India

Cancer is one of the growing burden on healthcare facilities & Carcinoma Breast is one of the leading cancers in females. Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy(SLNB) is becoming the standard of care for treatment of axilla in cases of node negative Ca Breast. Use of radioactive tracer along with Methylene Blue Dye (MBD) is proven method of identifying sentinel lymph node. In a country like India which has a lot of economic constraints, use of SLNB is still not established in many centres due to high cost of radioactive tracer. Through this book we have a made a small contribution in trying to reduce the economic burden of SLNB by using MBD only, instead of combination of radioactive tracer and methylene blue dye.
