Seismic Retrofitting of Non-ductile RC Beam-Column Joint

This book deals with the strengthening of non-ductile beam-column joint by using CFRP sheet. A comprehensive literature survey of the existing theories and code, design guidelines and analysis techniques are included in the book. Moreover, identification of Retrofitting need to a structure and selection of appropriate Retrofitting methods are also involved. In addition, a case of non-ductile beam-column joint designed as per IS code is analyzed. An appropriate CFRP sheet is designed to enhance the shear capacity of the joint. A series of numerical models of conventional and retrofitted joints are developed in ANSYS FE. program. Furthermore, the book clearly mentions each design steps and methodology used in numerical model development.
