Iraqi Kurdistan is one of the native lands of the genus Prunus which is widely grown naturally in the mountains, this work is a humble trying to exploit the wildly grown taxa of the the genus Prunus for being used as a rootstock for propagation of other economic species such as peaches. Different treatments had been used either for increasing the germination capabilty of the hard covering seeds, acceleration of seedlings growth and enhancing of budding success. Fortunately, the trying works were promising.
