Seed Borne Fungi Of maize

This book has been written with a view to provide simplified ideas regarding seed borne fungi of maize. This book contains seven chapters including tables and photo plates. The book will serve its purpose in understanding the basic concept of seed borne fungi, impact of these pathogenic fungi on seed health, how the seed goes to deteriorate by the enzymatic activity of fungi, which factors are responsible for enhance the enzyme activity of fungi.Different seed borne fungi produce toxin which make impact on seed germination,seed colour and also seedlings. This book also gives an idea about mycotoxin and mycotoxogenic fungi,attempt has been made on screening of aflatoxin which produced by Aspergillus flavus.Lastly emphasis has given on biological control measure for controlling seed borne fungi.
