Thirteen valuable insights, primarily by intellectuals in Pakistan are being put together as a resource for analysts and historians. The perspectives vary but the context is Pakistan, with an emphasis on the conception itself, its culture and its education. The scholars who have analyzed the situation have not only described it but have also provided prescriptions of change and growth. It may therefore become a boon for researchers as the entire range of the Humanities and Social Sciences is covered. However the specific scenario is philosophical in its vision. These essays were originally delivered in Lahore, Pakistan from 1990 to 2005 as C.A. Qadir Memorial Lectures. Professor Dr. C.A. Qadir taught philosophy for 50 years at Government College and the University of the Punjab, Lahore. He considered philosophy a panacea for all erroneous notions. And so he lived philosophy in word and in deed.
