Russell able to anticipate the academic needs and desires of the African-American community, he had the necessary entrepreneur spirit to connect Saint Paul's College to the town of Lawrenceville and Southside, Virginia. The author has selected black and white photographs that bring this project to a point for greater appreciation of the insight that Rev. Russell invisioned more than a century ago.
