Safety Audit of a Selected Highway Section in Kathmandu, Nepal

Road safety is becoming a critical issue day by day. The issue is more critical in developing countries like Nepal and India.Statistic shows that in an average 6 people are killed on roads in Nepal every day and many more injured. In this selected corridor of 9.1 km length, 3 people are killed in every two months.On the other hand, if we talk about road safety, people who hold the authority has victim blaming concept. This book is trying establish the new methodology of road safety auditing with the help of checklist prepared comprising 52 substantive issues, overcoming the conventional victim blaming concept.Author believes that this book will be a handbook to the road safety auditors and highway designers.Author also believes that this book would be a good reference to the people who are committed to make roads safe to the all kind of users around the world.
