Rotary vs Manual Root Canal Instrumentation in Primary teeth

Pulpectomy is a biologically sound approach to treat the primary teeth with irreversibly inflamed pulp or non-vital primary teeth. One of the primary objectives of pulpectomy is debridement of the root canals by application of debriding instruments. The importance of root canal cleaning has been reflected in the research that has focused on different manual instruments and NiTi rotary systems. Advancement of NiTi rotary files in pediatric endodontics has broaden the horizon. Simultaneously, there need to be a complete understanding of the bizarre anatomy of primary teeth and appropriate application of rotary files to avoid complications like perforations, etc. In our research, we have evaluated and compared the efficacy, risk of perforation and shape of the canal with the use of rotary and manual files in primary molars.
