Risk perceptions, pesticides and health: A rethought perspective

The health of the different natural resources (soil, water and air) is essential for the maintenance of life on the planet and the maintenance of a healthy environment should be an obligation of all. The risks of pesticide use have increased considerably both in the environmental and human health spheres and these risks are being increasingly perceived by the population. Risk perceptions can be discussed and discerned in order to reduce and raise awareness about the excessive and incorrect use of these substances. This book aims to discuss, discern and point out the use of pesticides, risks to environmental and human health and the role of risk perceptions in this problem. In view of the results and discussions held, it can be observed that risk perception can provide discernment and contemplate the reduction or non-existence of use and support new social movements seeking quality of life.
