Rice Seed Priming and Seedling Growth

Rice (Oryza sativa) is the most important grain crop in the world, especially main food crop in Bangladesh. Different research works have been done in different category with the purpose to improve yield using different technology. Seed priming is a technique to reduce emergence time, accomplish uniform emergence, better allometric attributes and requisite stand in many field crops. The methods are included On-farm priming, Hardening, Hydropriming, Osmohardening and Vitamin C (Ascorbate) priming for rice seed germination and seedling growth. Different reviews, mechanism of priming, factors affecting priming etc. are also included in my initiative. This is my first initiative on agricultural books, and I have tried my level best to minimize the errors. I am optimistic, this book will be supportive for the farmers, students as well as for other agriculturists. It¿s my pleasure to convey my sincere gratitude to the Dr. Umme Aminun Naher, Dr. Md.Yasin Ali and Dr. Md.
