Rethinking Theological Education in Methodist Church Nigeria

Methodist Church Nigeria in her wisdom upgraded the Methodist Theological Institutes to B.Th degree awarding status in 2009 and 2010. Since then it seems there is little or no significant spiritual vibrancy and numerical growth being witnessed in the Church. This book critically reviewed the theological education model of the Church in line with the Church¿s vision and mission. It was observed that the theological education model adopted by the church¿s theological institutes is not compatible with her vision and the mission. Therefore, this book did not only suggest ministerial training that matches the church¿s vision and mission but presented tailor-made curriculum. This book is relevant to African theological educators, leaders and theological educators of Methodist Church Nigeria, student ministers, lay church workers and the entire society.
