Response of Tef varieties to blended NPSZnB fertiliser rates

With global population increasing at an alarming rate, there will be a substantial increase in demand of food, fodder and fiber in future. Tef (Eragrostis tef (Zucc.) Trotter] is one of the most important cereal crops and predominant staple food in Ethiopia. People with knowledge and professional skills in Tef production will have good scope in the coming years. Demand of Tef is expected to increase due to the high rate of population growth. However, the present Tef production system with low productivity cannot satisfy the high consumer demand. Hence, there is urgent need to enhance production and productivity of Tef in Ethiopia.
