Resonanzen des Vertrauens

Dogmatik steht fortwährend vor der Aufgabe, unter den gegenwärtigen Verstehensbedingungen und Diskussionslagen zu erklären, worum es im Grundvorgang christlicher Religiosität geht. Matthias Petzoldt ist einer der Theologen, die sich im Laufe ihres Schaffens immer wieder dieser fundamentaltheologischen Frage stellen. In der Fokussierung auf Vertrauen, genauer Christusvertrauen, erkennt er das Eigentliche christlichen Glaubens und den Ausgang evangelischer Dogmatik. Dieser Sammelband diskutiert seinen Ansatz in ökumenischer Orientierung: um so exemplarisch über Theologie nachzudenken in Kontexten religiöser Pluralisierung – in denen also die Sprache der Dogmatik nicht (mehr) selbstverständlich und immer wieder neu zu übersetzen ist.

Dogmatics is constantly faced with the task of explaining what the fundamental process of Christian religiosity is all about under the current conditions of understanding and discussion. Matthias Petzoldt is one of the theologians who has repeatedly addressed this fundamental theological question in the course of his work. By focusing on trust, or more precisely trust in Christ, he recognizes the essence of Christian faith and the starting point of Protestant dogmatics. This anthology discusses his approach in an ecumenical orientation: in order to reflect on theology in contexts of religious pluralization – in which the language of dogmatics is not (or no longer) self-evident and must be constantly retranslated.
