Resignification of media elements

The book presents the experiences of children in an educational institution that adopts Rudolf Steiner's "the art of educating" and that discourages the use of technology, working with mechanisms to give new meaning to the imaginary and the child's play during childhood, in addition to providing contact with the forms that shape nature, with the intention of guaranteeing the fields of experience. The work allows the reader to reflect on how the different forms of playing have been constituted from the transformations in contemporary society by reporting the experiences of the Little Bee, the Butterfly Fairy, the Unicorn Princess, the Authentic Games, the Knight, and the Meteor - codenames of the children observed. It also presents the way these children re-signify in their games, through the imaginary, the media elements exhibited by television, internet, and electronic games. The resignification process extends to the school and family environment, giving different senses and meanings to the toys and spaces where they play.
