Research on Nano Structured CMR Manganites

This book is about introduction of high-Tc Superconductivity in oxide perovskite system lead to a major renewal of interest and activity in the functional properties of oxides. Since then, large number of studies and reports are devoted to synthesize and characterize new perovskite type mixed oxide ceramic compounds exhibiting fascinating transport and magnetic properties. Complex perovskite oxides exhibit a rich spectrum of properties, including magnetism, ferroelectricity, strongly correlated electron behaviour, superconductivity and magnetoresistance which have been research areas of great interest among the scientific and technological community for decades. Nanoscience and Nanotechnology are two of the hottest fields in science, business and the news nowadays. The research advancement in nanomaterials and related nano-technology lead to a renewal of interest into the synthesis and characterization of variety of materials for achieving desired properties. In the last years, there has been extensive research activity in the study of the transport and magnetic properties of manganite films and multilayers.
