Research Made Simple

In some quarters, social research is considered as a prerogative of some ¿special people¿ in society. Indeed, many students perceive research as being toxic in academic live. This perception often has been reinforced by the complexity of some research texts. Most literature on social research is couched on complex and technical terms and words which confuse rather than enlighten. The complexity of most research texts and the frustration of students motivated the writing of this handbook which has been prepared in a manner so friendly to all categories of students who by nature of their academic career are required to undertake research work. It is user friendly in terms of language. The content is by no means sloppy neither is it mutually exhaustive. Nonetheless, all that the student is required to undertake a credible qualitative and quantitative research has been captured. Given the rationale of the handbook, tables, diagrams and charts among others have virtually been left out. It however does not mean that these are not important.
