Research In Social Sciences

The aspect of research in higher institutions of learning cannot be gainsaid. It is a core mandate of any worth university. Research in Social Sciences and Natural Sciences have a lot of similarities. However, different approaches may be dictated by different disciplines. Therefore, this book explores uniqueness in Social Sciences using practical examples. It is a product of training that took place in Egerton University, Department of Languages and Linguistics to familiarise students with practical aspects of research. It is authored out of experience while teaching methodology in social sciences; mentoring students on how to write proposals, how to conduct research and above all inducing them to what is expected of them while they are working with their supervisors. This aspect makes this book unique and it is expected to be a useful reference in classroom and in the field.
