Requirements for Value Stream Management in SMEs

Since small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are very important around the globe, it is essential to improve the way they are working, to survive against major enterprises. For managers it is essential to find out about requirements that are necessary to apply Value Stream Management (VSM) more efficiently in their daily business. For this book an extensive literature research covering all relevant aspects of VSM was conducted. Moreover several expert interviews were analyzed by using the method of content-related structuring. Furthermore expert reviews were completed for the reason of gaining more information about the interview results. The evaluation showed that there exist several reasons for the application of VSM in SMEs, which in general is recommended. The major findings in this book comprise the requirements that are needed for the application of VSM.
