The body worn hearing aids are outdated and not used in many nations of the world. However, affordability is a bigger factor of all, especially in developing countries, where it over takes social stigma of appearance, in compared to ear-level hearing aids. Along with technological advancements to be utilized in producing low cost devices, there is need for orientation to hearing aid use and counselling to individual and family members.
