UNIT 2: N.D.T.: Non destructive test methods for concrete including rebound hammer, ultrasonic pulse velocity, rebar locator, corrosion meter, penetration resistance and pull out test, core cutting etc. UNIT 3: Materials for repair: polymers and resins, self curing compound, FRP, Ferrocement etc; properties, selection criterion, bonding aspect.UNIT 4: Repair Techniques: grouting, jacketing, shotcrete, externally bonded plates and under water repair; materials, equipments, precautions process etc.UNIT 5: Allied topics such as Structural Health Monitoring and Investigation for structures: Distress, observation and preliminary test methods.
