Removal of Chromium (VI) and Fluoride by various techniques

The Chapter-1 covers the water and its importance, water pollution.Literature review in Chapter-2, deals with the chromium and fluoride pollution in India. Chapter-3 highlights the scope, aim and objectives of the present study. Chapter-4 contains the materials and experimental methodology of adsorption, coagulation and phytoremediation of chromium and fluoride from synthetic wastewater. The information regarding the experimental details for screening the adsorbents and coagulants for removal of chromium and fluoride ions were given in Chapter-5.The results are consolidated in the form of graphs. The adsorption mechanism and functional group variation of selected adsorbents and coagulants were described in detailed in this chapter.Chapter-6 contains summary and conclusions of the present study which concluding the effective adsorbents and coagulants for the removal of Cr (VI) and Fluoride from industrial wastewater.
