Regularisation Policy of Unauthorised Colonies in Chandigarh Periphery

This book reviews regularization policy of unauthorized colonies in Chandigarh periphery. All the unauthorized construction in Punjab portion of Chandigarh periphery had been notified which has to be regularized under this policy. The unauthorized development is growing rapidly due to the weak enforcement of periphery control, formulation of Regularisation Policy & the underlying drawbacks within the policy such as lack of procedure. It has been observed that the Policy and its underlying hitches had encouraged the unauthorised development within the Punjab portion of Chandigarh periphery. This research work will help to understand the various consequences of Regularisation Policy formulation and the related issues to enforce this Regularisation Policy. This in turn will help in reformulating the regularization policy and include the necessary provisions for the planned future development in Chandigarh periphery so that unauthorized development could be traced/monitored in future.
