Regenerative medicine in Nanotechnology and Biomaterials

Tissue Engineering aims to the regeneration of biological tissue using cells, with the aid of supporting structures and or biomolecules. Regenerative medicine is the engineering and growth of functional biological substitutes in vitro and/or the stimulus to the regeneration and remodeling of tissues in vivo for the purpose of repairing, replacing, maintaining, or enhancing tissue and organ functions.Nanotechnology is the science and engineering involved in the design, synthesis, characterization and application of materials and devices whose smallest functional organization in at least one dimension is on the nanometer scale.The future success of tissue engineering (TE) and regenerative Medicine (RegMed) strategies will depend not only on the technological advancement of biomaterial synthesis, but especially on deepening our understanding of the biology of regeneration and the exact nature of cell¿biomaterial interactions
