The cancer of sugarcane caused by pathogen Colletotrichum falcatum is one of the most devastating disease of sugarcane throughout world. This disease affect badly the sugarcane crop and as a results sugar factories affect very badly. This influence employment also. Inspite of long efforts for this disease, still very serious challenge for sugarcane researchers as during the epidemic of this disease sugarcane production effect a lot. Due to some resistant varieties of sugarcane the epidemics of red rot has been reduced but due to emergence of new pathotypes of red rot pathogen crop is usually effected. Though red rot of sugarcane is very important disease, hardly any proper compilation has been done except few reviews and book chapter. This book is a kind of efforts to understand the host and disease properly.
