Recent Advances in Applied Statistics and its Applications

This book brings forth some of the recent developments and discoveries in the various areas of applied and theoretical research in Statistics. The research topics which are presented in this book includes: improved estimation procedures for Reliability Theory and Sampling Techniques, Multivariate Analysis, Bayesian Methods and applications of the statistical tools to real life problems. This book is based on the Conference on ¿Applied Statistics and Its Applications¿, held at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (A Central University), Lucknow- India, during 16-17 March, 2013. The aim of this conference was to bring together the young as well as experienced researchers on one platform to discuss the recent findings in the aforesaid areas of Statistics. After peer ¿ reviewing process, 28 papers were finally included in this book as chapters.
