Recaptulating the Intellection of Health Education

¿Education¿ is basically an English word derived from two Latin words Educare (Educere) and Educatum. Where, the former infers to train and the latter implies the act of teaching. Hence, it is regarded as a process of learning and teaching in order to ripe one¿s knowledge. But, ¿Education¿ can also be paraphrased as formal schooling, non formal learning , informal learning and learning by life experiences, indicating that anyone can learn or any situation could teach a person to manifest good qualities within for perfecting his / her own life decisions. One of the main tasks of health education is to inform about lifestyles and behaviours that prevent people from various diseases. In this sense, health education aims to influence a person¿s knowledge, attitudes and behaviours connected to health in a positive way.
