Rainfall has continued to vary in its characteristic annually and seasonally over the years. Rainfall variability affects the ability to increase food production as required by the growing population creating a need to assess the rainfall characteristics that affect potato yields. It is not clear how these variations in potato yields are correlated to rainfall variations.
