Organic corrosion inhibitors act as preventing the corrosion process of metal surface by showing good inhibition efficiency and low environmental risk. These inhibitors assembly a protective hydrophobic film contain adsorbed organic molecules on the metal surface. This form of protection provides a barrier to reduce or prevents the dissolution of the metal in the surrounding media. The activity of the organic corrosion inhibitor depends of the variety of requirements (chemical structure of the organic molecule, conjugated system and carbon chain length, type and atoms or groups in the molecule, nature of the metal surface, characterization of hydrophobic film, ability of the organic molecule to form a complex with the metal structure and type of the environment.
