Public Road Transportation in Lagos: A Historical Analysis

Road transportation is the most utilized mode by which humans commune from place to place. Owing to its importance in nation building and economic transformation, a poorly managed public transportation system can adversely affect the economic fortunes of a state ¿ a state like Lagos. Arising from this fact, this book aims to take lessons from the past, so as to reposition public transportation management in Lagos. This paper is adopting the historical method of enquiry to examine the thesis. On a whole, the book concludes that a revisit to the old ways of outsourcing transportation licenses to qualified companies would go a long way in making attractive and also strengthen public transportation in Lagos.
