Public Administration

Public Administration is a universal practice and of universal importance in government. It exists whenever people cooperate to achieve organizational goals and the achievements require planning, organizing, directing, cooperation and control. Hence, Public Administration is considered both a field of action and a field of study. As a field of action, public administration refers to the mechanics and structures through which government policies are implemented. This book is designed to familiarize readers/learners with the concepts, principles, characteristics and theories of management in government. Apart from the introduction of principles and theories, it also covers in depth discussion on administrative functions to be performed by public managers.
