Beschreibung
How psychotherapists feel when the client decides to end therapy? What support do they need to facilitate the ending? Even though it is a very common phenomenon why it is still under-explored? Rather than emphasising the need to reduce their occurrence, this study provides additional insight that shows how premature endings can be a ¿restorative¿ experience, for therapists who process the ending openly and un-defensively. The clinical implications highlight an ongoing debate to ensure we do not practice in isolation, but draw widely on our support networks and own self-management techniques.
