Psychological Aspects of Infertility

Infertility is one of the major problems faced by about 15-17% people in the world. The present research was carried out to examine the psychological aspects of infertility prevailing in Pakistani society. The research may be considered pioneering in this sensitive issue, and it has also opened new venues for research from other perspective such as adoption of child and divorce in couple due to infertility. The study is also helpful in assessment of depression, anxiety, aggression, self-esteem, marital and sexual satisfaction of couples in clinical settings when they come to counseling and psychotherapy.
