PSORIATIC DISEASE

The monograph presents literature and the author's own data on the problem of psoriatic disease, which is considered as a systemic disease.Numerous literature data concerning the etiopathogenesis of psoriatic disease and, accordingly, the principles of therapy for this dermatosis are presented.The problems of psoriasis comorbidity are considered, which influences the course of psoriatic process and must be taken into consideration when choosing the adequate therapy. Taking into consideration the carried out research studies, the psoriasis patients are a special risk group in relation to such diseases as diabetes mellitus, CHD and others, which indicates the necessity for more careful attitude towards the patients suffering from the mentioned dermatosis.The monograph presents numerous methods of treatment, including biological preparations, which is of interest not only to dermatologists but also to doctors of other specialties.
