Proteomics in Dental Science

This book features the Proteomic Aspect of Dentistry and its benefits in diagnosing and treating the oral diseases at an early stage. Unlike other body fluids, Saliva and GCF act as the best Diagnostic Markers for oral as well as systemic diseases at an initial level itself. Even though proteomics enhances treatment planning efficacy, being expensive its clinical application becomes difficult to be used in every case. Thus, more and more studies, research works and technological developments are much needed in this field of dental science.
