Prospects and problems of organic farming in Bihar

This book is a research work on organic farming its prospects and problems. Main aim of this study was know how organic farming is beneficial to the growers as well as consumers. The objective of this research work in the field of social sciences is to find out its efficacy in terms of social acceptability, technical adaptability, economic feasibility, infrastructural availability and situational compatibility along with the identification of the contributing factors. In addition to that it also helps in analyzing the causes therein, if there is a divergence in the performance from the expectation leading to formulating guidelines for improvement in quality for achievement of goals. With this view, a set of suggestions, based on the present study, have been deducted, for the development of ¿Organic Farming System¿ in particular and the contributing factors for cultivation of crops in Bihar.
