Programme for the early care of children with mental retardation

The analysis of the above data and the bibliography consulted led us to select the functional objectives to be stimulated in the different areas of development, which will allow parents to acquire numerous ideas about early stimulation at home, which will be expanded according to their creativity in the face of the growing demands of development. As the stimulating activities take place at home with the adults, they need to know what the indicators of normal development are, which allow them to orient themselves by assessing the maturity level of their child and to monitor the developmental progress. It is also necessary for them to follow certain general steps in order to achieve success in this task, so we have selected those that allow them to form a methodology for achieving greater mastery of the activity.
