Profitability of Selected Indian Industries: An Empirical Study

The present empirical study deals with examining profitability performance of ten emerging industrial sectors in India.The selected industries include Automobile, Cement, Chemical, Construction & Real Estate, Iron & Steel, Electricity Generation,Information Technology,Refinery, Polymers and Textile which have flourished in tune with the infrastructure development in India. The findings of this research study as drawn from the empirical evidences may help the industrialists who are in search of a prospective area for making their new investments or thinking of diversification of their business for accelerating corporate growth in particular and industrial & economic growth in general.
