The professional performance of nursing graduates plays an important role in the skill and execution of elementary procedures and techniques in the comprehensive care of the pregnant woman and the newborn. From the level of generalization and depth in the use of academic and work practice, what the individual knows and knows how to do that is manifested in professional performance and the transformation of reality at work. In postgraduate education, it allows perfecting the acquisition of new knowledge and skills in initial training. In higher medical education, it has been found that there are insufficiencies or professional skills that prevent the provision of excellent care to pregnant women and newborns. For this reason, it is necessary to implement strategies to improve the performance of nursing graduates working in maternal and newborn services. The objective of this book is to support, from a dialectic conception, the implementation of a professional improvement strategy that contributes to the improvement of the professional performance of nursing graduates in maternal and child services.
