Primary School Students' Views about Gender Role in Society: Analysis

This book attempts an examination of gender discrimination and gender stereotyped presentations in the society and in the school environment especially in teaching materials, It argues that education and teaching materials play a key role in improving social equity, and economic development by giving access to the intellectual development, professional work life, needed for better career, position, employment opportunities, economic independence for individuals both for females and males. Highly educated people could get exposed to new ideas, making them challenge the existing norms and behavioral changes more openly than less educated women and men. Educated ones could then express and present themselves well in every area of life where education made them more aware of their rights, and also, the most important issue is to encourage women and men to challenge traditionally constructed gender stereotypes.
