Preventing aggression in adolescents at risk of suicide

At present, according to WHO, the rate of suicidal behaviour among adolescents aged 15-19 continues to increase. The World Psychiatric Organization claims that this age period is extremely sensitive and vulnerable to suicide. Theanalysis of the theoretical and empirical part shows that in adolescence the level of suicidal risk is influenced by psychological features, such as inadequate self-esteem, feeling of loneliness, misunderstanding of others and family environment. Further research in this area may be relevant for preventive work with adolescents with suicidal risk.Adolescents with high suicidal risk have unstable emotional state, are neurotic, extremely maladaptive and prone to depression.Themain goal of prevention is to help adolescents with identified suicidal tendencies find a way out of the situation and stabilize their mental state.
