Beschreibung

The textbook elaborates the formulation and evaluation of the lipstick using natural coloring pigment Brassica oleraceae. Red cabbage is rich in several bio active substances of anthocyanins. The anthocyanin is a parent class molecule of Flavanoid. The coloring pigment was extracted by using simple maceration and separated the anthocyanin by using the centrifugation method. The separated anthocyanin compound is identified by a chemical reaction. In the present study to prepare the lipstick formulation by using extracted coloring pigment (anthocyanin) from Brassica oleraceae and evaluates the formulation by using Bureau of Indian Standard.
