Practical ArcGIS for Beginners

This tutorial book is the first tutorial book for self-study or teaching practical aspects of geographical information systems (GIS) based on local Saudi maps and data. It can be considered as a basic self-study workbook of ArcGIS for those who are interested in practical GIS aspects as well as for beginners in GIS. This book includes tutorials and assignments, which provide students with many opportunities to visualize and analyze data obtained from Saudi environment using ArcGIS 10.2 for Desktop software produced by Environmental System Research Institute (ERSI). It consists of 21 different consecutive tutorials, which are dependent on each other. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to follow the same order listed in the table of contents.
