Potential of urban heritage tourism: Enhancing product diversification

Heritage tourism has contributed to increase in tourism demand.However, urban heritage tourism exist in Nairobi but some of attractions have not been fully explored. Yet, it could be developed to promote local cultures, enhance revenues generation and revitalize urban centers. This study examined the content that urban heritage products offer opportunities for integrating multiple product ideas which are likely to diversify product range to enhance tourist appeal.In doing this, the study examined; What types of attractions are available for urban heritage tourism development? What are the roles of different stakeholders in planning for urban heritage tourism development? What are the demand levels for urban heritage tourism ? Are there any social ¿ economic impacts of urban heritage tourism development?. These are some of the issues this study intended to uncover.
